COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Introduction to Windows '98

This course is for beginners. Students will be taught the basic concepts of Windows '98 and how to work with files. Brief overviews of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel can be expected.

Introduction to the Internet

This course is for beginners. Students will be taught the basic concepts of the Internet. Topics will include E-mailing, Internet safety, Search Engines, and practical uses for the Internet.

Creating Web Pages

This course is for beginners. The instructor will show students how to create a web page using Front Page Editor. Some knowledge of Windows will be helpful in taking this class.

Microsoft Word

This is a course for those with some knowledge of Windows. The instructor will show students how to create documents and many of the special features of Microsoft Word.

Microsoft PowerPoint

This is a course for those with some knowledge of Windows. The instructor will show students how to create presentations and many of the special features of Microsoft PowerPoint.

Microsoft Excel

This is a course for those with some knowledge of Windows. The instructor will show students how to create a database, create a spreadsheet, and use many of the special features of Microsoft Excel.

Children's Courses

The children's class will run for three days. Each day will consist of lessons on Keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and the Internet. Students will create projects and learn new researching skills. Each day the students will have a break with snacks provided. Please register children of at least 8 years old.
