St. John Episcopal Church

Personnel

Father JackThe Reverend Canon Jack F. Nietert and his family have resided for many years in Beaufort, South Carolina.  He has recently moved to Halifax County to encourage the church as we move through a transition period. He provides thought-provoking sermons and makes a wonderful dinner guest during family activities at our church.

Mrs. LaymanMrs. Layman has been with St. John's as our Parish Administrator for nearly fourteen years.  You will see her smiling face when you enter the Parish House or hear her sweet voice greet you on the telephone. Her job with St. John's is a continuation of her Christian ministry, as she has contact with everyone in the parish on a daily or weekly basis.  The Lord blessed us when He brought her to our church to see us through the mountains and the valleys of our Christian journey.

Mrs. ConnerMrs. Conner is our child-friendly nursery attendant.  She is available during the 9:00 AM Holy Eucharist service and during the 10:00 AM Sunday School classes to watch over your little ones (ages 5 and under). She and her family are native to Halifax County where she is known to always be in the spectator stands for every ballgame in which her nieces and nephews participate.

Mrs. Jackson has just completed five years of employment as our parish sexton (housekeeper).  She manages to juggle a busy schedule of work commitments, family obligations, and a lively ministry at her own church, while still keeping St. John's clean and tidy in the midst of it all.  We are blessed by her Christian commitment and testimony through her work here.
