Church School
A Sunday School program is available for the entire congregation beginning at 10 A.M. on  Sunday mornings.

The teachers for the Adult Sunday School volunteer on a rotating basis between two adult classes.

The teachers from the Youth Sunday School are volunteers from the parish’s adults. We have classes for 8th though 12th graders, for 4th through 7th graders, and 1st through 3rd graders. We have a babies'/toddlers’ group for children up to 36 months.

A nursery staffed by an adult attendant and parish adult volunteers is available during Sunday School  for babies and toddlers. 

A trained employee and adult volunteers staff the nursery during the Worship Service for children through 5 years of age. We ask all people 6 years and older to attend our Worship Service.

  • Joint youth and adult activities on Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Shrove Tuesday, and other special days for fun and parish family interaction.

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is an international ministry of men within the Anglican Communion. The Brotherhood was incorporated by an Act of the U.S. Congress signed May 30, 1908 by President Theodore Roosevelt. The Act states, " the sole object of said corporation shall be the spread of Christ's Kingdom among men".

The St. John's Chapter of the Brother of Saint Andrew consists of the following church parishes: St. John's Halifax, Trinity South Boston, Christ Church Halifax, and Emmanuel Church Halifax. The Brotherhood meets the first Thursday of each month from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. The ministry of the Brotherhood is to bring men and boys to Jesus Christ.
