St. John Episcopal Church

Jack NietertGreetings!  My name is Jack Nietert and I am the Interim Rector at St. John's Episcopal Church.  My task as Interim in this time of transition is to provide stability and encouragement for the leaders and members of St. John's and to help prepare the congregation for its next Rector.  We pray for God's grace to accomplish this mission and invite you to worship and work with us.

About Us

We are a family of diverse people.  We have family members from the age of one through one hundred one.  We are a growing family. Since we have had many new people join our family, we are all learning what it means to be Christian and Episcopalian. We are also learning what it means to be a Book of Common Prayer church family.

established 1844Although worship is our primary ministry, we take our service to the community, work, education, evangelism, and pastoral care seriously. We are reaching out into the community to find our place in it. We know that the Lord Jesus has a ministry for us in our community and in the world. We support a missionary in Madagascar who directs an orphanage. We have a full education program serving all ages; there are two adult classes. We also educate ourselves by having young and young-at-heart participate in worship and all aspects of our corporate life. We offer seasonal education and life issue education events throughout the year. St. JohnEvangelism and Stewardship are becoming more familiar to us, and we are working hardto learn about them.  A big part of our lives together is caring for one another. Sometimes we do it well, while other times we are not so good at it. Through it all we know that we are sisters and brothers to each other in and our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are a parish family working for the Kingdom of God in this life, trying to be what we already are―Saints, growing in discipleship.

Won’t you come and join us? Or call and we will come to you.
